CW5 Gary NiskerGary Nisker earned his BA from Eastern Washington University, Cheney Washington in 1976 and his MBA from Golden Gate University, San Francisco, California.

CW5 Nisker entered the Regular Army in 1976 and attended Basic training at Ft Knox, KY following a delayed entry program obligating him to the Army in 1972.

Gary completed Warrant Officer initial entry rotary wing (IERW) training in 1978.  He served in a series of Cavalry assignments (3/4th, 1/8th, 5/5th and 1/18th) as an operations officer.  Additionally, he served in a series of air assault assignments (1/140th, 40th, 240th and 1240th).  Finally, he was assigned as an Infantry Division G-3 (Air).

Mr Nisker accepted an Active Guard-Reserve Tour (AGR) at the National Guard Bureau) (NGB as an Aviation Force Developer, Aviation Manpower Officer, Aviation Management Engineer, Aviation Organizational Integrator, Aviation Operations Officer, Aviation Personnel Systems Officer and the Future Force Integrator.

Chief Nisker was selected to be the Command Chief Warrant Officer if the State of West Virginia and then selected to be the National Guard Bureau Command Chief Warrant Officer.  His current assignment is as the Chief of Staff for Domestic Operations on the NGB Joint Staff.  CW5 Nisker has served two-terms as a U. S. Army Warrant Officers Association (USAWOA) Chapter President, two-terms as a USAWOA Region Director, a term as the USAWOA National Secretary, two-terms as the USAWOA National Vice President culminating with a term as the USAWOA National President.  He has also served on countless USAWOA committees.

His awards include the LOM, 5 MSM, 4 ARCOM, 3 AAM and the Army Staff Identification Badge.

CW5 NIsker retired in May 2013.

Gary is married to Tracie Hash Nisker and they live in Springfield, VA

Professional affiliations include AUSA, MOAA, USAWOA, AAAA, NGAUS and WVNGA.


Mr. Nisker serves as Vice Chairman of the Warrant Officer Historical Foundation Board of Directors from February 2013 to present.


Mr. Nisket was serves as President of the USAWOA Scholarship Foundation i2014-present.
